The Starfish Story
A young girl was walking along a beach upon which thousands of starfish had been washed up during a terrible storm. When she came to each starfish, she would pick it up, and throw it back into the ocean. People watched her with amusement.
She had been doing this for some time when a man approached her and said, “Little girl, why are you doing this? Look at this beach! You can’t save all these starfish. You can’t begin to make a difference!
The girl seemed crushed, suddenly deflated. But after a few moments, she bent down, picked up another starfish, and hurled it as far as she could into the ocean. Then she looked up at the man and replied,
“Well, I made a difference to that one!
The old man looked at the girl inquisitively and thought about what she had done and said. Inspired, he joined the little girl in throwing starfish back into the sea. Soon others joined, and all the starfish were saved.

To my future husband:
I am so overwhelmed right now because I can’t get rid of the thought that I need you NOW, but I don’t. I am learning and growing in the Lord and I’m not ready to give my heart to you yet. God hasn’t finished molding it for yours. I cannot wait to see God’s handy work and see how well our hearts will fit together. I cannot wait to fall in love with you.
I'm praying for you. Sometimes I stop what I'm doing and simply pray for your life and that you have strength in the Lord and overcome whatever you might be going through. I hope you're happy and filled with joy right now. I'm thinking about you...always. I love you.
No man knows how bad he is till he has tried very hard to be good. A silly idea is current that good people do not know what temptation means. This is an obvious lie. Only those who try to resist temptation know how strong it is. After all, you find out the strength of the German army by fighting against it, not by giving in. You find out the strength of a wind by trying to walk against it, not by lying down. A man who gives in to temptation after five minutes simply does not know what it would have been like an hour later. That is why bad people, in one sense, know very little about badness. They have lived a sheltered life by always giving in. We never find out the strength of the evil impulse inside us until we try to fight it: and Christ, because He was the only man who never yielded to temptation, is also the only man who knows to the full what temptation means-the only complete realist.

happy mothers day: our rock.
Did I forget to mention my sister had her child?
Oh, well here's the Prince. Aaron Pierre was born April 12th.
Today was my sisters first mothers day, obviously. She, our mama, and myself went to an air show and then went bowling. We of course couldn't keep our eyes and hands off of the little one. He's such a blessing regardless of the circumstances.
Aaron; Exalted, Strong. Brother of Moses. Aaron was appointed directly by God to be the first high priest. Aaron was a forerunner of Jesus Christ in his role as the high priest. His priesthood was a "shadow of heavenly things," and was intended to lead the people of Israel to look forward to the time when "another priest" would arise.
Pierre: Rock.
This child has a powerful name and I know God has a plan for him, as He does all of us. Aaron is also our rock and will be the rock that keeps his own family together.
Psalm 127:3 (NKJV)
3 Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD,
The fruit of the womb is a reward
